Henning Stummel

Henning Stummel studied architecture and urban planning at the Technical Hochschule Darmstadt and the ETH Zürich.

Before opening his practice, Henning worked for Norman Foster on the Reichstag in Berlin and was associate at David Chipperfield Architects working on the Neus Museum.

The focus of the work is on calm and well detailed space.

The practice has won numerous awards and accolades including two short listings for the RIBA Stephen Lawrence prize. 

Henning has taught at the Universities of Cambridge, Munster in Germany and Ravensbourne.  Currently he teaches at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.
